Wulf Winckelmann

Biography

Born in 1967 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Wulf Winckelmann studied communication design at the FH Mainz with a focus on free graphics, photography and book design, graduating with a diploma in design from 1989 to 1993.

Since 1993 he works in the field of communication design, book design, painting and photography. Since 1996 he concentrates mainly on painting.

This was followed by: 1998-2003 studio scholarship at the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden, numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad, various art-on-construction projects in Hong Kong. In 2005 he co-founded the “Künstlerverein Walkmühle e.V.“. In 2005-2009, he participates in art-on-construction projects in Germany, Hong Kong, Liechtenstein and Moscow.

In 2015 he is a laureate (3rd prize) at the Brita Art Award.

The artist lives and works in Wiesbaden.
