Frank Michael Zeidler

Abstract pictorial works, the strong, flat and determined color applications alternate with restless, impulsive lines and hatchings. Are we looking for a basic structure of spatiality here, or are we guided by the flow of concentrated color applications. From a long phase of black and white drawings and the search for light and shadow, followed the series of works with the color yellow. Frank Zeidler broke away from his radical reduction of color and developed color spaces from yellow, green to strong red. The basic idea, the capture of the spatial defining power of light and the alternation between boundary and free space are important to the artist.
