Silke Leverkühne studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Alfonso Hüppi. From 2004 to 2020 she was professor of painting at the University of Cologne. Her work has been honored in numerous museum exhibitions, and her work has been extensively documented and published. After more than 25 years of collaboration, we are now showing new works from recent years that, as is often the case with her, draw on motifs from nature. Light and shadow, reflections and refractions are defining elements of her paintings. To see is a shimmering, freely unfolding painting, the volatility, emergence and dissolution as forces of nature atmospherically condensed and brought to consciousness.
