Markus Wüste
»Moving Stones«

Markus Wüste (1970), studied at the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin, in the workshop of the stone sculptor Yoshimi Hashimoto he made his first experiences with sculpture. In 2001 he participated in an exchange program and attended the Athens School of Art. He finished his studies at the University of Arts in Berlin with a Master’s degree under Prof. Rebecca Horn. In 2005 he received a scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Berlin. Markus Wüste has consistently focused on and experimented with working with stone, exploring movement, kinetics, process, and the representation of modern materials in the context of expressive material transformation.
